As a RPG gamer, I always think that the first few levels are intentionally easy, but having past the first ten level ups, things get more difficult.
- Level 1: set up the blog
- Level 2: Publishing the first review
- Level 3: Getting the first views from readers through search engines
- Level 4: Publish 5 reviews
- Level 5: Publish 20 reviews
- Level 6: every day a hit – constant traffic
- Level 7: first follower
- Level 8: Publish 50 reviews
- Level 9: 5 views daily
- Level 10: Publish a guest review
- Level 11: Schedule a review
- Level 12: Attract a pingback
- Level 13: 50 ARC Reviews
- Level 14: 500 Likes
- Level 15: 600 Posts
- Level 16: 1000 Likes
- Level 17: One is fine, two is better
- Level 18: Be elite
- Level 19: Reblogged
- Level 20: 100 Followers
My last Level up! Reblogged has been four weeks ago, End of November. Not that it’s been quiet here, but higher levels are more difficult to achieve.
First of all, please let me thank all of you followers, you’re dear to me and to my statistics 🙂
Also, a special mention to piotrek from Re-Enchantement of the World who happened to be the 100th follower with warm greetings to his fellow blogger Ola G.

Sadly, not all followers are active anymore – some of them seem to have gone offline, others don’t appear other the years. I understand that interests and participation change, as I know from my own behavior.
Nonetheless, the newer followers, mostly from this year, are very active. This is very motivating for me, and nearly half the fun when writing reviews.
In fact, numbers have gone up from some 30 from last year to this celebratory number.
Thank you all, and let’s look forward to a good year 2021 🙂
Oh, so nice I got to be the hundredth one! I’ve been here before, more than once, and today I realized somehow neglected to hit the follow button 😉 I’ll visit more often from now on!

How did you come by without following? Have you bookmarked the site?
I‘m happy to have you as part of the gang 😁

I try to re-visit when people follow us, or leave comments on Re-E 🙂

That explains it!
I use the WP on a daily basis, and it’s very handy!

…and now I learn I could’ve waited! 😀
Congrats, Andreas!!! Well deserved!
(and don’t worry, the unresponsive followers are everywhere ;))

Bad girl 🤪
I don’t worry about the quiet crowd. It’s the opposite: I‘m happy about the few who interact, and you‘re one of them 😘
„We few, we happy few, we band of brothers“ – oh I need to watch that film with Branagh once again, the St Crispin‘s Day speech is so great!

It’s a great speech, and a great play. You know, I have never seen Branagh’s Henry V… But I do love his Hamlet! 😁
Ditto! I very much appreciate our conversations, Andreas – it’s always a pleasure!

That Hamlet with its costumes is a thing 😁

Great to hear it’s been a very good year for you and your blog, Andreas. I appreciate the links you post for short stories you enjoyed. I’m going to check some more out during the winter holidays. 🙂

Congrats! And know that you probably have more followers than you know – I don’t follow using WP because I don’t want to get that many notifications from all the blogs I follow, but I use feedly because to me it feels closest to the good old Google Reader days, and I don’t want to miss a single post from you 🙂

You can switch off notifications in a very detailed/specific manner. But that still doesn’t get you to Google Reader of course…

I switched off email completely. The WP reader is fine enough for getting all updates, and I‘m using it daily.

The number of blogs I follow makes even the notifications settings a hassle, and you hit the nail on the head – I just miss my Google Reader 🙂

Thank you! I never knew about feedly, and always wondered about it, as it comes up in the statistics as referrer.
Now I can tell you that you visited this site 83 times this year using feedly 😁 Big Andreas is watching you 🤪

Yay! I guess now you know where I am referred from, you can track my activity! LOL!

Congratulations! I’ve been fluctuating up and down all year followers-wise, so even if (or when) I get to 100 I won’t trust that number until I at least hit 120 or so. I can’t wait to see what Level 21 is!

Thanks, Will 😁
I‘ve never seen numbers going down – do people really make the effort of „unfollowing“? Maybe after an initial interest and one noticed that it isn’t really worth it.

I’ve just been assuming I spout some fairly unpopular opinions 😅😂

Grumpy reviews, haha 😂
But if that would lead to people leaving I‘d have negative numbers 🤪

Level 21 is already defined and I expect to reach it this year. 😁
