Netgalley didn’t provide me with an ARC. Damn them. At least, I’ve read a book excerpt, and it feels adequate and fits the style of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell. I’ve just preordered this.

That’s the only novel from her so far. There is also a collection of short stories Lady Grace Adieu in the same setting.
It depends if you like novels with zero action but with a literary style.

I loved strange, but these days I dread everything above 500 pages as my reading time is limited. I should have started the mirror and the light weeks ago, but I’m not up to such a long commitment.
