Synopsis: In a war against machines, a troop tries to survive for 90 days. The humans pressed from prison to service are heavily enhanced with implants of all sorts, leading to rapid aging, malfunction or even disintegration. The squad has already been reduced to only four persons, lead by Isyavan who somehow escapes all problems.
Review: Dystopian military SF. Authorities promising amnesty to get some guinea pigs for their experiments. The story gets better the more we learn about Isyavan’s abilities and background. I liked the story’s complexity more than the main protagonist’s character.
